There are 2 types of location and relative is one of them. Relative location is when you state many things that people know that are around it. The things are such as states, monuments, and countries near the place you are trying to explain. The states that brodered, Wyoming are, Montana to the north, Idaho to the west, (and some of Utah), Utah and Colorado to the south, and South Dakota and Nebraska to the east. They also have a state capital, which is Cheyenne. Cheyenne is in more towards Nebraska and Colorado which is the southeast part of the state.
The other type of location is absolute location, which is when you tell someone where the latitude and longitude which in Wyoming's case is north latiutde and west longitude. The state strands from 41 degrees to 45 degrees north latitude and 104 degrees to 111 degrees west longitude. The city of Cheyenne is also a absolute location is 41 degrees north latitude, and 104 degrees west longitude.
