Fun Facts
Wyoming has some very funny facts but others are quite interesting. One fact is that Wyoming has one of the least person per square mile. Having only 568,168 people and over 97,000 square miles, there are a little less than 6 people per square mile. Another fun fact is that there are only two Torrington's in the United States. One is in Connecticut, and one is in Wyoming. Now only being two you're probably wondering where the Wyoming's Torrington got it's name. Well Connecticut was a born state in the 1700's but Wyoming was a born state in 1890. So Torrington, Connecticut came first. So a man that was from Torrington, Connecticut went to Wyoming and founded Torrington, Wyoming. One of my last fun facts is how Wyoming got its name. Many states got their name from an Indian term that means something that the state holds within it. Well, same rules apply to Wyoming. The term is, "Maughwauwanna," which means, "large plains,". There are many fun facts, and these are only a few.
